Hazel Wilson

Hazel Wilson, 90, of New Athens Home for the Aged, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2003 at 6:50 a.m. at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Belleville.
Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and a member of Gospel Assembly Church of Du Quoin.  She was born March 4, 1913 in Windsor, Mo., the daughter of Ora D. and Emma L. (Feather) Jones.  She married Ardell A. Wilson on July 11, 1936 at Waterloo and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1995.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Darrell  A. and Dee Wilson of Battle Creek, Mich.; one daughter and son-in-law, LaDona Mae and Larry Weekley of Marissa; two grandchildren, Larry Joe (Kim) Weekley and Michelle (Tony) Weber; five great-grandchildren, Shane, Dustin & Bryan Weekley and Ricky and Ryan Weber and one sister-in-law, Audrey Jones of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers, Paul. Lester, Clyde James and Lewis Jones  and two sisters, Ruth Darrah and Lillie Helen Jones.
Funeral services were Wednesday, July 23 at 1 p.m. at Gospel Assembly Church of Du Quoin with Rev. Dennis Fitzsimmons officiating.  Interment was in Tilden Cemetery.
Friends called at the Neal-McClure Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 7:30 to 11 a.m. at which time visitation moved to the church from 11:30 a.m. until time of services.
